Yes. Payments go through Stripe; we never see your card details.

Yes, on the payment page you can add a name and a short message. We read every one and show them here after a quick check.
Is this a charity donation?
No. It is a tip for an independent project, so it is not tax-deductible. Stripe emails you a receipt.
